Improved Transportation Asset Management Practices (Utah DOT): Finding Roadside Hardware Types
Under federal MAP-21 regulations, State’s are encouraged to inventory their roadside safety assets. Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) recently decided to eliminate all of their remaining “Texas” turndown style guardrail endtreatments. To create the inventory, UDOT used their network-wide data collection program to locate all of the outdated devices. This webinar features Utah DOT’s Director of Asset Management, Stan Burns and Safety Engineer, Scott Jones. They will review how UDOT approached the project and the benefits of using their network data sets to develop the system-wide replacement project.
